Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis Mahavidyalaya’s sports department organizes and hosts various indoor and outdoor events as per the designated schedule.

            Under the guidance of experienced and knowledgeable physical education professors, various sports related ventures are propounded and turned into a reality, thus allowing numerous talented athletes to showcase their talents and aspire for a successful career in sports. The college also has a panel of experienced coaches to guide these talents in their path to unparalleled success.

            The college also provides monetary support to the athletes during admission into the new session. At the College, the coaches ensure that the athletes are never out of practice and it is safe to say that the multi facility gym has helped them in doing so. Special courses in meditation and yoga are offered at the College which empowers the athletes and general student to boost their physical as well as mental capabilities.

Above all, the annual sports meet at the College provides a platform for the upcoming talents to showcase their abilities at a higher level. The College team in various sports such as football, cricket, volleyball, kabadi and handball has proved their worth by setting new standards at the University hosted competitions. The players are trained in accordance to the national sports policy in order to produce talents capable enough to compete at the national level against the best from the entire country. The athletes have brought glory to the College by winning numerous awards in state-level as well as national-level competitions. The principal has vowed to tirelessly work for the development of the sports department to take it to a whole new level, better than ever before.
