About The Department
The Dept. of Human Development started its journey in the year 2017 with around 10 students. It was initially introduced as a General subject. Within 2 years of the introduction of the subject the Honours course started in the year 2019.At present there are 2 students in the Honours Course and around 25-30 students in the General course.
Human Development is a multidisciplinary subject and is offered in both B.Sc and B.A. Course. In the B.Sc Course this subject is combined with subjects--Food and Nutrition, Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics. In the B.A. Course it is combined with the subjects- Political Science, Sociology and Education. This subject offers a wide range of practical work which includes field visits, psychological testing, gaining firsthand knowledge in the field of Early childhood Care and Education as well as scope for working with the children with special needs and children in difficult circumstances.
