Departmental Activities

Field Tours : Both natural and cultural landscapes are considered as Laboratory for an investigation into the geographical spaces. Several long and short tours are organized in this respect.

Wall Magazine : Every year Department organizes Wall Magazine inauguration by current students of the Department based on Contemporary issues in geography.

Seminars and Special Lectures : The department occasionally organizes special lectures by eminent teachers and scientists. Recently, Geography has organized a UGC Sponsored Two- Day National Seminar on “Environment and Sustainability- A geographical perspective”.

Ozone Day celebration : Every year on 16th of September the Department celebrates World Ozone Day through different Environmental agendas and also take initiatives for making our society clean and green.

Alumni Meet : Department also organizes Annual meet of all previous students in every year with many cultural programmes and also publish Departmental magazine written by our current and ex-students on the date of Alumni meet.
